Q: One size fits all? How can I get accurate BFR with a cuff like this? 
A: Firstly you find your reference point (strap point number) as per the user guide (see user guide page), then tighten past this reference point to achieve the desired BFR. For example for 60% BFR you need to tighten -2 points past your reference point. 

Q: Is BFR safe? 
A: YES - BFR has been proven safe and our product has been proven safe within a validation study. See safety guidelines before use (user guide page). 

Q: Can I use BFR every day for recovery? 
A: 100% YES - this is a fantastic use of BFR, on the comfort of your own sofa every evening or used during an easy walk/bike are good methods.

 

Q: Is tighter better with BFR? 
A: NO - it is very important that you follow protocols properly, as BFR is very potent you need to ensure you do this, for safety and for effectiveness. Going too tight past guidelines can be dangerous. 

Q: My legs seem too big for your regular cuff, are there bigger ones? 
A: YES - we now have an XL cuff available to pre-order for legs bigger than 65cm+ (proximal end of limb where cuff goes) 

 

Q: Can you use these for arms? 
A: NO - they’re leg cuffs. 

Q: Is it dangerous doing BFR every day? 
A: NO - just follow protocols properly. There are loads of studies featuring ACL rehabbers who used BFR daily for 9+ months with no adverse effects. 

Q: Surely if I use BFR longer it’s better? 
A: NO - follow protocols and guidelines that have been proven in research to work, don’t guess as you can cause your body too much stress. It’s all about getting the optimal dose.
